    Default BBC oil pump

Recommended Melling oil pump for stock BBC. Slight cam, nothing else special.

    Thanks

Their standard volume standard pressure stock replacement pump would be fine. Check the clearance between the gears and cover as some are a little big. If you want to go crazy you can get a High Volume pump, but not really needed. If you are not turning a lot of RPM's or crazy stuff you don't need crazy stuff. Depending on the boat a pump support bracket may not be a bad thing.

Very nice oil pumps. Every one I have pulled out of the box was right within the tolerances.

Been running the standard volume/standard pressure pump for 3 seasons now on my 10-1 compression 454 with a mild cam. Oil pressure is always good. Pretty sure the part number is M-7 as well.
