    Default better exhaust

Hey guys I have a eliminator barge 21' two step deck daycruiser that according to professor Greg Shoemaker has a 454 engine that has a rated output of 450 hp. The professor tells me that I need better exhaust to get any real performance gains. the old cruiser can hit [email protected] rpm now. What performance exhaust can I fit into the 33" wide motor box?

Yes you do need more! I think an upsweep manifold would help some but not as much as a set of lightnings! WT

My 454 had stock small-valve '049 heads, a .565" x 280* dur hyd cam, and Edelbrock performer RPM Air Gap manifold when I took off the Niccson logs and put on the Lightning Headers (Jacketed, thru hull (look at my avatar).

    Gained 200RPM on a Berk A-cut (Aggressor B).

Then I had the heads ported and valves enlarged, and gained 400RPM.
