Hey guys. Another which cam to run thread. I have a 60 over 460 short block with what I think are speed pro stock replacement pistons. I bought it already assembled. He gave me a new summit3051 cam 278/290 dur .471 lift and 114 Sep. That hasn't been installed. So my question ,finally, is does this sound like a good choice. I will be running DOVE heads with maybe minor port clean up, edlebrock performer rpm intake and Hardin marine manifolds. Not logs and not headers. Its going in an 18ft mini day cruiser v-drive. 9% gear. I'm not trying to get crazy. Just figured if I could get a little more out of it while its apart would be worth it. Thanks in adance
If you get the cam card with valve timing BE SURE to degree it in. Cam is alittle small on the lift but hopefully Sleeper CP will chime in, I have built alot of the old 385 series fords and there are tricks to make them hold there own. PAGING JON!!!!!!!
