    Thumbs up Who's got the recipe?

    Hotrod56 told me about a 500 Hp BBC recipe that use to be on hotboat. I guess the forum is gone know but did anyone by chance copy or remember it?

    made 730hp at about 6,500 rpm with a 502 and some bolt ons. stock bottom end
    9.6:1 CR
    AFR 315cnc heads
    Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam
    1.7 roller rockers
    Holley 950HP carb
    Edelbrock Victor RPM Air Gap manifold
    msd 6al box


    maybe he will chime in to give you some details, I think Widowmaker did a similar build

    Lots of good recipes but what do you want to accomplish? That's what you need to decide then build to accomplish the goal..

    6500 will he be seeing this.i would think a 9.5-10.1 with a 750-850 single plan or rpm air gap with a good solid flat tappet cam would get close.

    It would. I should be there with the head work I just had done, and on lousy compressuion ratio. 10:1 would do much better.

    I like it, I will be taking apart the motor next week and getting started. That sounds like a good start/ target, hopefully all will look good when I dig in.
