    Default question about A/F meter

I was looking into Autometer's A/F guage that uses a heated o2 sensor. I have read on a few pages that you can tune with avgas, just not very long. Can you run these with say, high octane race gas(unleaded)? I would really love to learn how to use one to tune my new mill this year.

i do mike, my system uses heated o2's, and the only time i've ruined 1 is when i got it super lean. i turn wrenches for a living and all cars 96 or newer use heated o2's, even the 1's burnin e85
i ran avgas, superswill 93, and 112nos gas and never hurt mine. only put 6hrs on it so far though, so time will tell but it's working great so far.sure takes all the damn guess work outta tuning carbs, phuck reading plugs

Narrow Band or Wide Band set-up ?

Narrow band won't do much for you. GIGO (garbage in, garbage out) . only accurate at 14.7:1 A/F ratio . Don't wast your $$$ on thse. Not much cheaper than today's wide band set-ups.

So you have ran avgas through yours and no issues. Nice What header are you getting your readings from? I use cylinder #5 for my pyrometer.
