Default Question engine builders GM 502

Have a factory GM 502 short block, Its new, been sitting in garage for 4 years, I want to build it to 800+ hp.
What would you recommend in detail to complete this motor from crank rods piston up to the carb.
It will be for a jet boat.
    Thanks In Advance

And if I provided the block how much would you charge to build it P/L.

Sent you a PM, but perhaps the best way is blueprint the shortblock and bolt on the Weiand 8-71 blower that just listed in the spam section today for $2000,, pretty great deal on that.

Hopefully Barry will chime in for you. He is under obnoxious001 here in the
boards. He is full of knowledge and will work with you. Here is the link below from the 502 blower build he did for my friend john. He has it pushing a brendella jet boat. And the motor pulls hard at only 3 pounds of boost. Good luck with your build

I got interupted a few times during my post. It looks like you beat me to the introduction. 2000.00 is a great deal.

I would have the bottom end checked out and Know if you want 800HP all the time, blower, or Nitous. The Nitrous is great for 10 seconds of Power on a N/A 600 horse big block.

Easily done with that short block. Normally aspirated. Completely stock bottom end, AFR heads cut down to 110 cc chambers, custom solid roller camshaft, good kickout oil pan. dart tunnel ram, dual holley 750s. I made 740 hp on the dyno with my 502 short block and sprayed a 150 shot on top for somewhere close to 900hp, runs great just put about 8 hours on it at lake powell, had been in my race boat for about 2 seasons. Zero issues.
    Boat 405.

X2!!! Barry is great to work with, honest and a true gentleman.

There are a lot of hard running motors on this board and others that have the Barry touch.
