    Default LS Chevy Power

This has probably been asked before, but... I tried the search and couldn't get the parameters correct... so:

Anyone done a v-drive LS Chevy installation? Does anyone make motor mounts, etc? I've searched thru those manufacturers that I know of and have found zilch for the LS series motors. GM offers versions appropriate for out-drive applications, and crate motors I looked at either have too much stuff with 'em, or not enough.

I'm a thinkin' an LS7 powered v-drive flat would be cool.

If its going in a v drive make your own motor mounts.

rear mounts will be the same as big block ans small block... just one hole not used and the top hole is used. As for the front... I am not aware of anyone making a "shelf item" mount for the LS.

Andy Herbert "the Bandit" here is doing one in a hydro as I type this. You will have to make your own mounts.

Yep, for a V-drive; and that's just about the conclusion I've come to. I would like to mount the "rear" mount as a flat plate as on the SB & BB, but will have to wait till I get the engine before I start on have something fabricated. IMO, the side positions are too far "forward" for good stability.

Still shoppin' for the hull, and still "discussin" with SWMBO'd about the funds!
