I think that it's interesting that the engineers chose a boxster style flat eight as a pump.....Then powered it with a V-8.
They must think a flat 8 is more efficient than a V-8 at pumping. Seems like they could of turned a conventional SBC into a compressor but went with to the expense to design and build a flat 8.
