    Default bbc heads

Im looking at a set of heads with casting # 3964291. They are rect port and 109cc chambers. Are these a good set of heads for mild build?

Stay away from closed chamber heads, they stopped making those years ago because the open chamber heads make more power. Hope this helps.

They're OK for what they are, but not worth sinking any money into from a performance standpoint. If they're in good shape, you might find a fenatic or collector to buy them and take the money and buy something a little more useful.

You would do very well IMO with a set of the ported Large Ovals Steelcomp may still have some of.

Had my 353049's ported and the large stock valves put in, made a big difference on what was already a moderate build with the heads choking it back.

Check Ebay as a market for selling your early cylinder heads,, might be the way to sell yours. I noticed a lot of late 60's bbc stuff for pretty high prices.
