That truck is impressive and he drives it like he stole it too.
Seems pretty drivable with the blow through carb setup.
Sounds like it's bumping the rev limiter on takeoff.

My previous hobby was sand drags.

it ain't hard to bang the limiter in sand when you've got a shitload of tq and hp on hand! lotta those guys are runnin twin turbo ls motors making excess of 1200+hp easily

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

That was 1200 hp at the rear wheels in a 4wd! So how much do you figure he is making at the flywheel?

That's probably not all that wrung out to make that HP number.
    Maybe 18# boost.

The part of the video where he raced the dirt bike brought back memories.
On an ORV ride we had by Houghten lake Mi. there was a wild man on a CR500 who could ride wheelies for miles. The bike was as fast a dirt bike as I'd seen at that time. I had my buggy with the turbo Honda motor in it. I said "lets line em up on the road and run em off". He laughed and said, "well you can give it a try, but no one has beat me yet".
After stomping him several times in a row he talked a different story.
It's the top pic of these old scanned pictures,

A year later I endowed that buggy at 85 mph.
By the time I knew I was in trouble I was hanging upside down from the seat belt. One front and one back wheel and suspension were ripped off and the battery was 75' away.

    Default truck

Thats bad ass the tune up must be pretty close, otherwise there is no way it would take that kind of abuse , more props for the turbo set ups, hurts to here the rev limiter but its doing its job, and I keep hearing that doesn't hurt the motor.

its not so bad on a turbo motor where there's backpressure during the exhaust valve events

When I talked to Lucas (owner of English Racing) he said that truck made 900hp to the wheels on pump gas, and 1300 on E85
