    Default Lightnings

Grrrrrr! I'm having problems with clearance between my headers and valve covers. It's a pain in the a neck to get the screws in the valve covers and impossible with studs. will changing to slanted valve covers remedy this or will I have the same problem? Thanks

i went with the slanted valve covers on my uncles build with lightnings, still kind of a pain but you can get to the bolts with some work and take the covers off without removing the headers each time, best of luck.

Slanted covers are very helpful. Depending on which style you have. The 33 wide or the 36 wide. 33 won't fit unless you already have 45 degree cut covers or very low profile covers. Otherwise the 36 wide version is still tight regardless of which covers you have. Not worth the $200 for the 45 degree covers IMO.

you can get the covers on e-bay for about 140.00, the're pretty good
quality too! Just bought a pair myself, no breathers tho', guess it will be
    about $200.00!
