    Default Pan Gasket

What's the best pan gasket for a MKIV BBC with a milodon pan?

I have used the one peice felpro mark IV gasket with no luck on a milidon pan. Last year I used a fiber Mr. Gasket and had pretty good luck. I have also noticed I had a better long term seal if I loctited the bolts. I had to use quite a bit of silicone on the outside edge of the pan lip. If I were to use silicone I would use the permatex cheese wiz style tube called,
    "The Right Stuff".

Mr. Gasket or Felpro have worked for me. Some silicone at the mating pionts and bolt it down. I've reused both several times before replacing. I also made my own stud kit for it. Nuts and lock washers. They stay tight for me.
