    Default 10* or 12*

other than a couple of extra degrees of u-joint angle, what is the difference in using a 10 degree box as opposed to a 12 degree when mounted in the same location(same propshaft angle)? I have been told the 12 is quieter. Is there an advantage to using the 10? Just wondering.

I speak from experience when I say it's easier to sell a 10 degree unit over a 12 degree one. The buyers seem to be more plentiful and capable to do the deals with 10 degree units.

Not everyone is running u-joints, some of us are running solid drive shafts, and angle is critical. It allows us to run the motor shallower in the boat. Post this in the V-drive section, not the dyno section if you want more replies, F1~
