Thumbs up Since we don't have a billet porn section.....

I figured you guys would apppreciate this the most.

It is the beginnings of another billet case I am building for a custumer. Doesn't look like much right now, but it will take shape.

It's a bummer sometimes I am unable to post shots of the parts I build.

    What do you guys think?

Showoff, how did you do it? I can't seem to "clean up" the properties.

I clicked on your picture...the picture went large...I chose properties....copied the address to the mouse. Then I selected "Ad Image" in the quick reply....a window pops up with HTTP//.
I DELETE THAT....then paste the address from the mouse in that area...and there you have it. If you don't delete the HTTP thing in the box it does not work.

The surfaces of the bearing journals are only roughed out with a ball endmill and left undersize.

In the last operations the cases will be bolted together and bored as a unit.

This is the bottom half, I am working on the top half right now.

The first operations are in a vise usually. All other setups will be done on a fixture plate using the alignment pins for location.

This part represents about $175 worth of 6061 aluminum. The scrap guy already loves this job since I only end up with 1/4 of the material I started with.

Unfortunately, the pics are now gone because WSUWRHR edited his posts and deleted the original attachments.

Its easier to just upload the pics to the "You Shot It" gallery and then treat the pics like any other image you want to post.

Problem with that is, I have "pop up blocker" on my internet options, or on my virus software, I tried rather unsucessfully to find where I can disable that feature.
