    they also could'nt control oil consumotion very well on big bores back then, which explains the four rings, with an oil ring below the pin. It's a DAIMLER BENZ?

    No. Daimler is(was?) a British car manufacturer. Probably best known here in the states for their 60's offering of a rather odd looking roadster called the SP250. Had a little hemi-headed V-8 in it.
