Default Roller lifters for Dart Big M

Picked up my new Dart 565 short block. Reading through the tech notes they say to use gen vi type roller lifters that are .300" longer than Mark iv type. Great. I already have a new set of Crowers for the Mark iv. Actually, they say you "should" use the gen vi. So, can I use the Mark iv lifters??

No to short they can bind in the lifter bore. You can either mill the lifter bosses down, don't recommend, or get new lifters.

You get better service from Crower by picking up the phone, they are not very good with email by my personal experiences. If you have a new set maybe you can trade them?

If you are going to spend the money on rollers, get Crowers or Isky's good ones with the pressure-fed axle oiling. Last a good long time, longer than the splash-oiled ones by a long ways.

May be other makers of these, I only know of these 2.

Chris has a deal with Morel. They make a great oil fed lifter. I would try him
