I'm currently building a 496/505 (depending on how the block sonics) for a jet.
Specs so far...
AFR 315's (cnc 305's) out of the box
cam is yet to be selected, but will go solid roller and when the C.I., intake/carb is determined I most likely will have Straub do one for me
I want to turn 6200-6500(being max)
will have the pump done/impeller cut per engine dyno.
My question is-
4150 style carb with a Vic Jr?
or a 1050 with a Vic or Team G?
I know I can go 4150 in the 1000cfm range, and would it be better than the 4500 for my purpose? Lake hot rod-playing-cruising.
