Default Cool dyno today. 540ci Whipple 7.8psi and pump gas

I got to tune a MEFI 3 today, 540ci Chevy for Fast Fred's Engines here in Lake Havasu. It had a whipple supercharger 7.8psi and a MEFI 3 ECU. We were able to make 1001hp at 5500 rpms and 1014 ft lb tq at 4500 rpms on 93 pump gas. It made some good power!! Made me think about putting one of these in a street car, Wow!!

Testing was done on a Super Flow 901 at Pro Marine in Lake Havasu. Here is a pic, Fred is going to get me a pic of the print of the dyno sheet.

    Hey Brian,

Bitchin engine. Is that a 3.0L Whipple?

Oh yeah, I met you at the FAST training day at Westech a few weeks back. Thanks for the info. Learned a lot.

Mike I am not sure, I know Fred gets on here... maybe he can give us some more details on the engine combo. I know it had 335 Dart heads and was a 540ci engine but other than that Fred knows.

    Glad you enjoyed the class.

It is a 3.3 Whipple with the mid sized cooler. Heads are Dart 335 CNC with Ferrea valves, Comp hyd roller with T&D shaft rockers, Mahle pistons and Eagle rotating assy.
Great tuneup from Brian and dyno work from Tom @ Pro Marine.

I'm sure the customer will be pleased with his new hotrod.
