    Default how much boost

    Aluminum heads...8.4 compression....93 octane fuel...timing currently locked out at 32* and am running 5 1/2 lbs...how much more boost can i safely run....A/F is at 11.3-11.4...no intercooler...was thinking 7 lbs max?

    Same setup 100% 100ll av gas 14 psi. Id say around 8 maybe 9 on 93..be careful...one tank of bad 93 thats not 93 and boom

    was looking to up it to 7..thats all...so i should be safe at 7..right....how about any additives to help with the octance ..just in case???

    Roots-procharger-turbo? The more efficient the blower the more you can get away with, but not much more when on pump gas.

    I have seen 10 work with that same basic setup. But that is not the point in any blown motor. Cam and headers play a huge part in the boost tolerance of a motor. Boost is pnly a measure of the air the motor couldn't take in. It's the air backed up in the manifold. Cylinder pressure is the what determines Octane. 7 lbs should be safe with your set up. And stay away from marina stations.

    its a roots blower....and am running Steelings headers...heads are Dart Pro 1's...i never get fuel at a marina..always trailer to town(2 miles) and get shell 93

    If you creep the boost up a little then back the timing down a couple degrees to start with and keep an eye on the plugs.
