    Anyone running these? Any better than the standard strap?

    Was not aware of those. Main problem with girdles is they don't fit right. Only girdle that seems to fit right that I have ever seen is a Webster.

    Thanks for the pic. I saw em in the summit catalog and thought they were pretty cool looking, plus I've got some paypal bucks burning a hole in my pocket.

    Have used them in the dune jeeps for a long time, never have had any problems.

    I dont know how i feel about them. I've had a pretty hardcore jeep that saw a ton of abuse and i'm fairly impressed with how well your standard ubolts have held up. The fitments have to be very close in the ubolts to have them hold under the extreme conditions, i just worry about those, esp as they wear and start to lose their true.

    Are they brass or aluminum.

    I'm sure they are an aluminum alloy.

    A little digging finds it is 7075-T6 alloy.

    I would say that from my experiance they are about as strong as your normal steel straps just add to the bling factor. There only job is to hold the u joint against the yoke and do not take the full load of your drive line.
