    Default nos plate help please!!!!!!!!!

NX express says something in there instructions about brodix cloverleaf manifold if u use there gen set-up plate system u have to grind the side bulges, well we have no side bulges but the front and rear seem to have bulges that imo might have and might not have a affect on the spray pattern.

they say grind the side bulges on clover leaf, well i have included pics and imo the sides have no affect on this its the front and rear that might.

can someone tell me if i need to grind all this meat to make the spray work okayto me it seems it wont hurt the way it is,may intefer allittle, but the spray should still get caught up in the vacuum and go towards the throttle bladestell me if im wrong b/c i have 2 days to set this up on dads boat.(just a 100 shot for him to play with till next winter)

its a NX express HITMAN KIt 100-200 shot

u can clearly see what im talking about in the first pic,but the instructions say side bulges, hell the bulges that might hurt are front to back.

any help i would appreciate it thanks Travis

Turn the plate the other way and then the side bulges will have to come off. Just remove the area that interferes with the spray bar.

i can turn it anyway i want still the same amount would have to come off.

which is bullshit,i think it should be okay with the vacuum affect

its got to draw it into the turbulence.

plus its not like Im spraying a lot anyway with this set-up.

its nice to have ur 66 year old man wanting to DIG with some nos

he will be back at 6 in the morning to start the wiring and plumbing process

excuse me, but, that manifold has bulges on the sides & front/back!...its made that way to run the dominator carb & make it work properly...unless, as mentioned, you dont grind the side bulges off, that spray bar plate will NOT work rite!...the end holes in the bar will not spray into the plenum properly ...if you grind them off, IMO, you will ruin a perfectly good manifold!...if you "must" play with NOS, put a fogger system on it & be much happier! ...just sayin' my .02 cents

When they say 'side' they mean any side, including front and rear....not just left and right.

    Their instructions clearly state:
NOTE: If your intake manifold has a “CLOVER LEAF” design plenum, such as a Brodix or Offenhouser, the side bulges must be removed, either by machining or grinding before you use ..............
You may not like the answer and you may not want to do what the answer states, but that doesn't mean the answer doesn't exist or have no meaning.

well lets see they started making shop towels how many years ago

stuff the sob full of towels, tape over them and cut around the area you are going to grind on,then after your done use the shop vac u have in the corner.

Im positive we aren't the only 1s to have done this over the years

so yes we left the intake on the motor

well dad finally decided after having his plate system for 4 years he wants to dig it out and put it on with a 100shot just for the hell of it i guess.

im trying to get my 1 and only job out the door b/f the weekend and hes trying to put this crap on in the other side of the shop

so im running back and forth trying to explain why things go this way and that way

then we are going to fill 5 bottles in the morning and i have to drive 4 hours round trip just to get bottles filled.

i have to refill 2 of Scotts that i used and 2 of mine and now dads, lol!!!!!!!!!

so needles to say his new plate kit will be tested for the first time this weekend

    can anyone say KABOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!
