    Default 600" Ford

Just finished this 600" Ford and ran on the dyno Friday. Ran prettty good 1130hp at 7200rpm 880 ft lbs at 6000. Blue Thunder Thor II cylinder heads single carb wet sump. Going in a 18 CP.

    Shazammm and holy moly.

That's a hell of a collection of parts ...wow.

Nice build Mike.....that's the engine we talked about at the Regatta, wow. I think my power guess was 1,125 - 1,150 hp @ 7,000 - 7,200 if you remember. Lucky guess.......I guess........

I'd like to know a bit about that vac pump set-up? I've read some bad things about vac pumps with the Ford oiling system. How much vac did you pull?

Very very impressive numbers....I'd really like to see the dyno sheet to look at the power curve. 880 lbs ft at 6,000 = 1,005 hp ( nice) Did you run it past 7,200?

That 18' CP is going to need some serious set-up. Good for him.

I ran around 9" of vaccum. We ran it up to 7500 rpm but the single carb just killed it and it was done at 7200

Great. Do you recall what the intake on that head flowed?

Very nice build. The owner of that has a hell of a "bullet" for just River Racing.

Those heads are bad ass. Thats a pretty stout engine right there. So, 1600 with a 500 shot. That should get the job done. Nice Job Mike.

The carb is 1600 cfm, the next time we test on the dyno it will probably have a tunnel ram and two carbs. Hopefully do a back to back

Very nice and some great numbers. Look forward to what you get out of a 2x4 TR set up.

    Mike,

What did it make at 6,800 and 7,000 ?

I'm assuming with those trq #'s vs what that boat use to have there's a new AA Stainless impeller in the works ?

Well maybe not an AA, my MPD "B" absorbs 1,150+/- at 6,800. I'm wondering what the AT HH AA will do hooked up to that engine ???

1,000+ hp single carb engines are the shit, but I'd like to see what that thing could pull with 2 1,200's on it.

This is going in my Dad's boat(RiverRacer). I was there. It DID bring the noise.

It will bring more with 2 Carbs AND NOS.

Thank you,(on RiverRacer's behalf), for the compliments on the hardware selection.
