Default 496 Mag HO fuel switching issue

07 Magic deck boat-when switching tanks to check fuel levels when engine is off sometimes when starting will not run full fuel but sputter and air in line-need to use starting fluid to run out after 3-4 minutes-does not do this while under power -not sure if this is normal or can be fixed somehow-or is there a way to bleed off air easily-any info will help

Interesting. My Eddie Marine valve doesn't do that. I can switch whenever and never a sputter.

In the future, or just to try: AFTER doing your fuel checkage - before you start - cycle the key on / wait a few seconds / off. On / wait / off. On / wait / off. Three fuel pump cycles should do it. This will make sure the fuel filter and fuel rail is full of fuel and all of the air is out.
