Should be able to get 800 on pump gas! But it's all in the combo!!! Compression makes it easy! but it's pricy! (gas wise) I would really like to know the numbers it will give me something to shoot for! WT

WT all I have had was high compression motors and i'm tired of packin fuel so I'm goin BIG .. Donnie (engine builder) told me that they built a NOS motor 565ci for a drag car and it laid down alittle over 1000 hp off the juice so he said 800 wouldn't be any problem and he has had some pretty big HP come out of his shop .. I told him anything over that would be a bonus .. This is my 1st motor build so i'm gonna ask alot of questions and just try to learn a few things over doin it .. I've gotta get some heads (been lookin at BB 2 and RHS and Darts) and then i'll holla at cstraub about the cam grind .. I'm gonna run a T/R with the 2 750 QF that I bought in the spring and QF is tellin me they will handle up to 850 HP . And I hope that will get the Wingger aired out .. I'll keep ya posted as it comes along

I really liked my Milodon drive-whatever you do, DON"T EVER USE one of
those "dual idler" pieces of shart! seen WAY too many of them fail, and
even pete jackson says in his own instructions "not for use over 6000rpm"
There's always the "camshaft harmonics" arguement that comes up from
the timing chain guys, and the belt drive guys say niether one is worth a shart!
I'd love to run a belt drive, but it just ain't in the budget right now, so the
cloyes hex a just is what I'm putting in my 509 this time.....

Right now I have the Edelbrock TR2X and I think I'm gonna be leavein alot on the table with this one and would like to look for a newer/better performer for the new motor .. I would like to keep the polished look but performance is the #1 thing that i'm lookin for ..

I'd stick with the Ede Victor Ram. I also think you need a set of Canfield 310's.
