I'm not sure if any of the performance guys in here would change quality valve springs based solely on an hour count.

And more info would be needed from you to even begin to make an assumption I would think.

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

I guess that would depend on the cam profile, average RPM they spend there time at, and who made them.

Mild hydraulic, with isky tool room springs, running under 5000 Rs most of the time, propably live longer than you, but certainly longer than the motor or the boat.

Aggressive hydraulic, with ProComp springs running 6800. Probably last a week.

Yup, kinda what we do except I'll shim a spring if it's only a bit low. We dont' run really big cams with the blowers, but I still watch seat pressure pretty close. I usually replace only the intakes, then move the old intakes over to the exhaust and shim them up to where they need to be.

Not sure the Lunati springs are top shelf, and for that application, I'd use the best springs you could afford. I'd be checking them at least once a season.

Need to know the installed height. Hyd roller springs are kind of in the middle between flat tappet and solid roller. The Isky tool room or PSI are good springs if they have something in that pressure range. You probably want something in the 200# closed, 500# open for what you're doing. The Isky 9915 might be a good one to look at.

And should about last forever in that application I would think
