I heard of some guys taking stainless cooking pots, cutting and welding them up. I am sure someone will chime in with the link

If it has to be under a hatch then you are pretty much stuck with an old Gale Banks setup with Barbie turbos or other high dollar water jacketed systems.

With turbos and dry headers you have to understand that they are going to get RED HOT under boost.

Thin aluminum heat shields will work fine for an open engine compartment, plenty of air flow there, that's what I use. I have a plastic tool box that I strap down within 5" of the headers and it has never melted.

As you can see I have no sheet metal worker skills but it works fine just the same.

Garret makes some very nice water jacketed turbos but they are kinda pricey. Call around you can prob find some used. I know prime marine had a set a while back.

Im going to build some something like unchained has but with copper tubing inside and a couple layers of fiberglass between the copper and the metal the copper will carry the water.
