    Default Demon float level...help!

    Ok, so here's my question.

I know Demon has their problems, so this may just be a typical problem.

But, here's the deal. The front float cooperates fine; the rear float level won't lower. It's at the VERY top of the sight glass, but the adjuster nut is all the way in.

    Ideas?

Needle and seat COULD be bad, but more than likely, you need to remove the float and check the tang the needle rides on. Not on common for the float tang to get bent downward on a boat.

If the bowl doesn't over flow the bowl in time when JUST IDLING, then it is most likely the float tang. If it does slowly over flow the bowl if allowed to idle long enough, it the either the needle assembly, or the o-ring on outside the needle assembly.

I know it idled for 10 minutes a few days ago. The level stayed in the same place (at the very top of the sight glass, did not overflow).

It sounds very much like what you just described...almost like it just "ran out of adjustment". I'll take the bowl off tonight.

    Thanks.

My Broinlaw knew a rich dude that wanted a new deamon for him & his son. He told him if he installed em he could have one for free. this was about 10 years ago and all 3 of the carbs had flaw's( I had to fix) Just minor stuff but that was when they said we flow test each carb for quality !! That was back when the fuel pumps leaked like a 18 pack drunk.
