Hi, question for those smart on basset headers please. The drain plug hole at the bottom, mid pipe, i just plugged it today. (this is unrelated to the main injection system, this is a hole half way down the main/upper pipe at 6:00 position) the main injection system does have an overboard drain and seems to work with water coming on around 1500
should I route a drain assembly overboard? bassett site does not discuss. system worked perfect, water on about 1500 RPM today, first time using/setting up. if the answer is yes, may help my cleanliness problem. although I have the long pipes, they still drool the nasty exhaust water on the paint as the headers end just at the transom and I have muffler end pieces (which still sound awesome!)
...that is sticky nasty stuff on the brand new paint!
...also, is there a reason to worry backing off the throttle quickly, water back into engine?
thanks for any advice on both. that boat "hauled the mail" today until the carb float stuck and the engine caught on fire! adjusted on the lake, waves rolling me all around -too funny! but I drove it back to the dock! (with fire agent all over it
