    Default Crank talk?

im looking at buying a Callies Crank for my new 540 pumpgas build.

the Callies magnum XL is all Knife edged, lightened and really Purdy lookin

the regular Callies Magnum is a very nice piece as we have 1 going into the 565 build.

what is the benefit to the Magnum XL over the Reg.Magnum

will it be worth the extra money is what im asking and for someone to explain the full benefits.

    thanks Travis...

Knife edging helps reduce windage, helps the crank cut through the oil. Definite hp benefit.
Polishing helps the crank shed oil...get it back in the pan where it belongs. Definite oil control benefit. Also helps reduce windage...a little.
Lightening doesn't help make any more power, but helps the engine acccelerate quicker. Good thing in a jet boat. Also reduces overall weight of the engine. Another good thing in a boat.
If you can afford it, those are worthwhile upgrades IMO.

What about a Lunati? I have had very good luck with them over the years.
