Default 22' Daytona as a jet?

Greg I see on eliminators website that the 22 daytona could be rigged as a jet. Is this true or could it be done?
Your thoughts on if it was setup correct would 800hp get you in the 80's with a jet?

I see with motor they claim a 19' daytona is 2000lbs and 1500 more for the 22'

Currently the only small tunnel that will accept a jet is the 19 and 21. When the 22 was built we rasied the center sponson for the outdrive and gave it enough height to accomodate a gimble housing with the right X deminsion. I did talked to Bob Leach today and he was going to measure the center keel and see what we would have to do to put a jet drive in the 22. More to come after we measure.

Thanks for checking on this, I had a 21 daytona and loved it, Duane at Hi-Tech and Ervin Capps, helped it reach 120mph!

Have my first son now and would really like a jet with more room then the 21 and a closed engine hatch would help sell it to the wife!

Cant wait to hear what Bob had to say.

Ok , the 22 Eliminator is approx 2 inches shy of of being a Jet boat player. Bob said we could make it happen with a slight modification to the mold. But as it stands now the 22 will not work as a jet.

Thanks for the response, I am sure re-tooling that mold for a jet would be some big time $$$.

I did not see the 21' daytona jet pictured in eliminators line-up anymore just the 19'? Are you still making the 21' for eliminator?

The 21 is still avaiable thru Eliminator.
