Are fiberglass hulls today lighter than those made from the 70's? I was told the resin today is lighter/stronger.

With todays laminate schedules you can build a boat that is considerably lighter yet have the structural strenght of a boat that was built back in the 70's that was a lot heavier. F Bomb went thru a very tramanic crash and without looking inside the boat at the left sponson you wouln't even have known that it went from 145mph to 0 in less than 200 feet. I was truly amazed how well the hull came thru it. Iwould have to give credit to the way this boat was built and the materials that were used. F Bomb weighted 385lbs.

What do new 19' Daytona Eliminator jet type hulls go for with keel spoon, rigged w/ low pro intake ready to bolt in engine and parts? I know it must be a lot.
