    Default Hull issue?

Wanted to get your input on a situation I had over the weekend. Made it out to the TPM for the first time and when I went to make a pass, for some reason the boat wanted to take a hard right.. I corrected it slowly because I didn't want to put it in the sand. Could this be a bottom issue? This was the first time I launched my boat from a dead stop. Its a 1979 Mach 1

Has the boat ever done this to you before? Chance's are no. Usually when on the lake you are up and running and the boat is already going straight, you get after the throttle and away you go. When leaving from a dead stop you have the diverter down and you go to the floor with the throttle and away you go , but in your case you made a hard right turn. When you talk to the guys that race you'll get the same answer make sure your nozzle is dead straight. Go to the back of your boat and look and see where your nozzle is in comparision to your wheel. I think you will find that you were not perfectly straight on launch and with the nozzle pointed slightly to the right, and thats where the boat ended up going. Some of the guys actually mark the wheel so they know exactly where straight is. Take it to the lake again and try it and see what happens. I don't feel it's the hull at this time just a little education.
