    Default Porposing issues

I bought a 78 19'6'' Nordic back in may and have been working on getting a new BBC installed . Now that its together ive had it out a few times and noticed that it starts to porpose at speed . It had trim tabs on it when I bought it now I know why. Is this a common problem with this hull ?? Ive seen a few other Nordic hulls like mine and some have diverters or trim tabs some with nothing at all. The bottom looks straight but I haven't used a straight edge on it to confirm that yet . The trim tabs are huge and do push the nose down but if you run them too far down bury the bow . The pump also looks to be wedged looks like 1/2'' or so. What can be done to fix this ???? Ive had a few jet boat but never had this problem before

We just finished a complete resto on the same boat with the same problem. Small trim tabs did the trick. Do you have a Place Diverter now ?

I don't have a diverter yet Im watching for a used one but they go quick. I do have trim tabs I thought about a drop snoot as well. I think the wedge I have makes it turn hard and quick so im thinking about removing it . I tried to post a pic but the site wouldn't let me. The only issue I have running the trim tabs is they seem to create a drag and I think im losing some speed none of us want that LoL

    Default 19 Nordic

When you have a pump that is installed 4 degree's negative to the keel and trim tabs that are installed down to take out the porpoise , the faster the boat wants to go, the more boat you push into the water. A Place diverter will certianlly help get the boat out of the water and the trim tabs will then be able to be brought up until you find the sweet spot in your ride.
