Default amphibian with powerglide and transfer case

Greg: an update on my amphibian project> still unsure about true performance ? please critic photos of bow > the idea to allow air trapped under bow to rise up to chine knuckle and be directed aft and outboard to front wheelwells and out exit ports on full fender skirts. i will add fairing bumpers to front of A ARMS hanging down( cannot retract) i hope enough water (no air finds its way to jet intake) there is a slight rocker bottom 5 feet forward of intake ( 3 degree?) should draft to about 12 inch waterline idle, and rise to a plane of ? draft?

Default amphibian with powerglide and transfer case

Gregg: thanks for your input> will try to take photos of transom/bottom ,to get opinions on performance. i assume it will not be a top performer and use more fuel. Rick

Greg; would like to connect with you ,since our phone chat ,I would like to understand your reservations about the water flow to jet/ planing area. only one chance to make mods to improve bottom design. i will take photos of stern/ bottom in take area ,so you may critique. thanks for past helpful comments. Rick

Default bottom shape for planing with a jet drive

Gregg: a few photos of the bottom shape at transom on my amphibian. i hope gets on some sort of plane attitude ( may not be real efficient) hope any ,pounding is at minimum. see scrieved shape of body plan. compare to photos , your comments count towards my modifying the bottom at jet intake. one photo has tape measure set at one foot height,so you can get some sense of scale. the scrieve is 1/2 breadth( hull is about 7.5 ft wide at transom) on 4 ft wide plywood with tape stretched to 4 ft. the tape near baseline is the shape for 6 feet forward of transom ( transom degree 12 degrees sloped aft) Thanks Rick
