    Default Carburetor Choice

Greg, my boat is a 1981 20' Baja Sunsport running the Indmar 350 Chevy/Berkeley jet package. The engine has been rebuilt to stock specs and spins the jet drive at 4,200 RPM at WOT with a 600 CFM Edelbrock carb, vacum secondaries. I need to update the carburetor to a marine version and was considering either a Holley 650 carburetor with mechanical secondaries or an Edelbrock 600 CFM with vacum secondaries. Can you recommend one over the other considering my set up? Is there anything else to consider before making a decision?
    Thanks for your help.

After doing some research I've narrowed it down to either Holley's 600 with mechanical secondaries or their 650 with vacum secondaries. Leaning toward the 600, if anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it.

For good throttle response and acceleration I would lead towards the 650 double pumper with mech. secondaries.
