I have a 1983 Eliminator Daytona and have had mixed feelings about installing the diverter. The bottom has been done, has a ride plate, droop and shoe. It now has a 400-450hp 454. My boat mechanic told me to not run the diverter but would like your opinion. I have never driven a tunnel hull before. I double checked all the wiring and hoses, so it should be good to go. Thanks... Albert

Only if you want to show off. With that split bowl you can shim it to any angle you want. Tell him Scotty.

Are running the boat at the river or are you going to race the boat only? I have found that the set up you have will perform the best. If you are going to pull skiers or have a porpoise at cruzing speeds the diverter will eliminate those issues.

Its going to be a river cruiser. I will eventually be swapping out the motor later on in the year, but will have this motor for the time being.

I will take it out this weekend and so how it handles. I won't be pulling skiers with this boat.

heres a video of the boat on the water today. it planes good, so i guess i wont be needing the diverter, unless i want the cool points.

You might want to take a few measurements and give me a call .Shoe depth, Nozzle size, Nozzle angle, Rideplate angle, and what size impeller. 951 272 6060
