Hi Greg: We have a 1977 19ft dayton that we are restoring. The boat is in great condition thanks to good craftsmanship when it was made and being stored undercover for 20 years. The shoe on the boat is a way below the keel (stock flat) and I need to know how much to mill it down? Should I start even with the keel or a little above? The motor is a 555 chevy and the pump hand hole is half an inch from being outside the transom. It has a droop and a place diverter. Thanks for your help.
