    Default motor placement

I have a light layup 19 daytona, rounded keel, right now the motor makes 760 horse with a tunnel ram set up, its a 555 chevy with aluminum heads, I am putting a 10:71 Mooneyham blower with a Hilborn Shotgun injector hat, I am going to be running E85, I would guess the new HP rating is going to be between 900 and 1000 horse, the 5 gallon T-tank will be in front of the engine along with the battery, I am also running 9 gallon side tanks, right now the engine is 27" from the rear engine plate to the transom, my weight is 300#, where is the best engine placement to start with in this setup

When we first started moving the engines forward we did it to contol the boat from climbing to keep the boat hooked up on the top end of the course. As we found out it accomplished a few more things, it helped on the launch and the boat became more controlable. Based on what info you have given me I feel the engine placement you have is a good place to start. As the power level goes up you might find that a engine move would be necessary, but only if you cannot control the ride with nozzle and rideplate angle.
