    Default Building a south wind

Just just picked up this south wind, going to cut intake for a shoe and install a ride plate, already stripped out the nasty carpet. Any thoughts on motor placement, this will be a lake deal with healthy 468 bbc, single carb. Thanks any advice will be appreciated. This thing is bone stock.

Personally I like to put my motors in the boat, between the stringers, but I'm just weird that way.

Seriously, good looking project good luck!

Looks like a good hull. Iam in the middle of re geling my 79swtd. I think 18 inches from the transom would be a good place to start. Good luck.

I think you should forget about that hull. It's no good. I'd trade it for an Eliminator 'Cruiser if I were you!!! BTW I happen to have an Eliminator 'Cruiser to trade you to help you out!!

Good find!!! One of these days!!!

    Default floor

OK so we just got done getting all the tile glue off the floor, 3/8 thick in some spots. On top of the stringers and top of the tunnels the finish is rough. I cannot find any delamination but the floor is very faded most likley from the cleaning to remove the glue. I am planning on painting the black sections black again and was considering spraying resin over the whole floor......any thoughts.thanks
