Default So what would be the cost of having a new hull laid up

So I have Been searching and really not much info out there on what new hulls are costing these days. particularly intrested in the new Rouse gullwing or a CP 18,19 or a 19 tunnel.
Just wondering what a rough ball park figure, for a bare hull, with the intake set and a trailer, might be.
What is the process for getting one laid up and how long does it take? Maybe some contact info for the builders.

I'm not here for a long time, I'm just here for a good time!

Depends on what boat and who is laying it up. Gullwings go for 7 to 11k without trailer. Cheyennes go for 10 to 14k without trailer. There are many guys to contact. Ervin Capps, Greg Shoemaker, Scott Seastrum, Bill Scotten and the list goes on and on. All of these guys are fairly easy to find and get a hold of. Just do a google search. There are a lot of gullwing guys but I would stick with Scotten, Seastrum or Capps (if he is still doing them). There are only a few cheyenne guys. And if you want a Placecraft I'd go with Peterson.

You can add 3 to 4k for a good trailer.

Tunnels $8500-10k single color. Color sand buffed flowed floors with wood.

Nice new trailer dolly or road can be had for $3500

Lots of options out there, do your homework.

    Thanks for all the replies.
So all the research that I have been reading every one says that Bill Scotten will not sell a blank hull. How much rigging would have to be done by him to satisfy his policy.
Will he sell the boat with only the intake being set?

Is GS marine building a gullwing?

To the best of my knowledge GS Marine does not have access to a gullwing mold any longer. But they very well may. U would have to talk to Greg. Scotten has been known to sell a boat with just the intake as long as he knows who is gonna rig the rest. I do know he will sell a boat minus motor at certain different stages of rigging. Call him and ask. Search this forum and his number can be found.

From the thread posted the other day Tigedlr seems to be selling basically blank hulls.

Thanks Guys, For all the info.
You guys will have to bear with me , I will probobly be asking lots of questions. I know I can get all the contact info thru the boards here. I am just trying to figure out who is building what. For instance , I just found out that Scotten bought the Rouse molds and I guess We would now have to go thru him for a Rouse GW.
I have been doing lots of reading and research and just trying to weed thru all the particulars. There seems to be so much confusion and drama associated with getting a boat built some times and alot to decifer.
I have had cotact with Geg Shoemaker. Bill Scotten lives right down the street from Me ( if He is still there), I should just go knock on his door and talk to him.
I just want to have My ducks in a row on what I want, before I really start persuing all this. I really cant belive I am even thinking about having a boat built, But M wife is the one that was pushing Me to. I was just looking for a Rogers Bonneville Tr, to replace the other boat, but she said, why dont You look into having one built instead, that way it will be yous and not someone else's.
I am not opposed to buying a used boat, but it would have to be perfect.
    Thanks for all the help....Hal

I would say you have narrowed your seach down to two stand up guys. Speaking from experience you can't go wrong with Greg. I am sure someone will chime in with some story about why they have a problem with Greg but you can't please everyone. Greg and his guys rigged and setup my Ultra that I got from Big John and did a very good job. I even had a few minor issues that they did everything in their power to help me get fixed even though I am in Colorado and they are in California. I was probably most nervous with the fact that if I did have something go wrong I could not just drive on over and have it fixed but as I said we were able to work out the couple of things that came up and everything was no big deal. With some off the horror stories you hear about guys losing deposits or even more with guys that promise the world and devliver nothing you do have to do your homework. I obviously can't guarentee nothing will go wrong if you use Greg but I would be willing to go 99.9% that the process will go great and you will be very very happy with your choice of using him. And just so you know where I am coming from I don't bad mouth people or companies I don't like. I just don't use them ever again. I do try to go out of my way to recommend people who have treated me right and done a good job.

    Default Cheyenne/Ultra

So what about the Cheyenne or Ultra Shadow? Who is building the Cheyennes here on the westcoast side of the world. I have been reading alot about them and I cant keep up with who has the molds and who is laying them up? I love the lines on the cheyenne. Does anny one know who is building them and maybe a contact? There seems to have been alot of drama associated with a few of the builds.
The last I read was That Ron Baker had the molds, but I went to his web site and did not see any thing but the Place Craft.
Is Ultra still building the Shadow(Cheyenne)
What part of the world is Ervin Capps in?......Hal

Ervin did the race bottom on the 21' Daytona I had and he did a amazing job with it.

If you want the "real" Cheyenne hull built the right way he is your man.
