How much you looking to spend? I know of a complete turnkey deal that would be hard to pass up? PM me if you are interested. It's not a river boat, pretty much dedicated race boat.

There is an ultra lite CP tunnel here on the river. Complete boat, runs, with a basic stock 454. He told me $6000. or best offer.
I may be growing older, but I refuse to grow up!

well im buying my first house soon so...budget is low right now. id like to spend maybe $2k on a bare hull hopefully with a pump set up
on a decent trailer. doesnt have to be perfect just something i can clean up and has the potential to run a 10.0

There are plenty of good v bottom hulls out there that will easily run 10.0s very safely. It does not have to be a CP, if there is even a remote chance you will go to 9.0 with the same hull that is another story but 10s is a great class and can be done in alot of v bottom hulls very safely.

Bahner, Hallet, Rogers for example. You might stay away from the southwind 18' unless you are willing to sort out the possible handling issues.

x2. They run great with little horsepower, but run into issues with increasing power. You'd likely end up with the boat upside down on a dolly cutting the strakes down along with other changes. (too much lift)

Lots of possibilities for 10.0. Have some fun with it!
