Default I can see light through the bottom of the boat

Cleaning out storage compartment before i go out next weekend, i noticed that at the back of the compartment (in the middle just in front of the steering wheel) i can see light coming through. Is this something i should worry about sinking the boat? I felt the area and nothing feels soft. I guess the real question is...."should i not take the boat out next weekend without fixing"?

Also any help on how to fix this myself would be great.

Well it is fiberglass so if the paint is missing the boat is some what transparent. I wouldnt think it would be a issue unless it was soft.

as i read it fiberglass is transparent when set. no paint = light through. soft = weak spot

See you out there on cinco de mayo, the rain two weeks ago ruined my attempt to test out my new hardware.
