I set the pump back in my jet and should I have a drive shaft made or should I do a splined shaft with a slide coupler? Whats better? What is cheaper? your thoughts??

Sanger super jet... Just enough to get the clean out cover outside the boat. 1978 newer bottom.. Took the hook out of the bottom and cleaned it up... Also made the transom flat. Cut the sanger bubble out of the transom.. I think I moved the pump 4 1/2 inches back

Personally you have to start someplace and since you in somewhat new territory , depending on your engine mount system Id likley move the motor back accordingly and reuse the original drive line to start Tom
