    Default Bucket seat covers

I have 2 new shells that I need covers for. I was looking at this pic with the black boat (click to enlarge) and noticed they have a thin foam backing and lack that 2 inch thickness border that most seats including this blue one have along the upper edges. Is this done for weight sake or is it just a different style? Are they comfortable? Is tweed a good choice for a lake boat?

The black boat is mine, the thin foam and lack of 2 inch border lol was not for weight savings nor was it intentional, the shop that made the covers just sucked... and they are not comfortable but i do love the tweed, its black and doesnt get too hot.

The green boat in the back ground used to be mine. They are done similarly to the black boats, but purposely. They only have a 1/2 inch of foam in the cushion and I thought they were very comfortable. Depends on the foam too. When I had mine done it was a center steer race boat and ballistic shorts are more than you need to sit on. But after making it a lake boat they were fine. I don't know if Matty has changed them cause I haven't seen the boat in two or three years.

I just looked at the picture again and that pic was from when I still owned it!took three girls for topless rides that day! Thanks to big D. Then towed coach in, at about dark 45 when he ran out of gas on the way back to the ramp. Good times!
