Here's the latest out of the Rouse 19 mold.... Joel and the guys at Genesis did an outstanding job again. It's a lake/river lay up with a false floor and 1/2" wood transom. Went with KD 1" milled clear doug fir for the stringers and transom, and Joel is flow coating the stringers, transom, and engine well. Hoping for right around 575 to 600 pounds, as it built for river use and not the track (although it might see it a time or two....)

It's been a blast building these boats and I hope the new owner of the mold continues to build em and keep the hot rod momentum going. Lots of bad ass choices these days for a new platform.....

Finally, a boat for me.......................RD

After one round of wet sand and buff, still waiting on micro polish and flow coat for the inside... The damn thing went together with only 5 stringer washers to tab it on the entire side, two at the rear and three up on nose. The hull is almost capped right out of the mold....

And the nose fits without any overhang......

Thanks for the kind words.... Coming up with decent graphics on these things is a bit of a challenge. The hull is not very big and there are very definitive hull shapes that don't allow much..

I knew if I put hockey sticks (which still look good IMO) on it, you guys would crucify me!!....:wink2:

I'll post up some more pics as the project goes along.... Seems that the bar has definately been taken up a few notches with some of the recent builds around here... RD

Would love to get to one of the gatherings down at Big River one of these days.. I'm sure Tim and I will make it down there once we get these piles together....

No power built yet but it won't be anything special... This is going to be a river boat that my kid will probably end up runnin around in when he gets old enough..

probably gonna go tunnel ram pump gas deal with nice heads. Just trying to decide if I use the 496 stuff I have or step up to 540 or something. I'm buying all new internals anyway so going bigger just kinda makes sense.

Might try our hand at the 1000' deal at Parker with ADBA, that sounds really cool...

That thing is unreal... those fades and lines are sick! This deal is head and shoulders above the run of the mill stuff you see everyday.
From the sound of it, the molds are sold, but can you PM me a rough idea of what this deal would have cost with basic rigging (intake set, transom hole cut).

Made it out to Genesis today to see the new sled after Joel and his guys finished buffing and polishing. Since the mold is still mine for a month or two, I had actually considered putting this thing up for sale and building another one for myself. After seeing it in the sun, I'm having second thoughts........

The colors and blends look pretty damn good in the sun.... It was nice to have John West look at it and say, "Damn!!!!!!"...lol

Picken a color for the trailer is gonna be a bitch..... I'm thinking the darkest maroon of the fade with light grey carpet and chrome...

Nothing new yet, hoepfully it will be at B1 soon to get started, but I've been on a halt with end of summer trips and back to school stuff with kids... Unfortunately, it will be a long project and I'm kinda focusing on winter stuff for now..

I know the costs have gone up significatantly in the past 4-5 months as resin and glass has gone up quite a bit. I know they were in the 10k range, but not sure what they would be now. CP has the mold now and it would be up to Bill if he would even build a bare hull.....
