    Default Motor mounts

The project is a 1980 sleekcraft junior executive tunnel hull. Now the question is how to install these motor mounts? Can we use lags and resin? Also how do you install a rail kit in a tunnel hull do you have to through bolt the rail or can you lag it because if you through bol them it will have to go through the hull? Any suggestion or advice or pictures would be helpfull this is my buddies boat and i will be helping him build this boat its his first jet boat so we will be asking for a lot of advice and posting pics of the build.

Great boats , but IMO had the worst ideas in engine mounting, the 3 point system you show was thier "status quo" back then utilized a Mercruiser type 3 point mount system ,personally if I owned one of these great boats I'd engineer a angle aluminum metal or conventional wood rail stringer system , absolutly don't use lags (for anything) Anything like this needs to be thru bolted call if you need ideas or help Tom

I would make a piece of 3/8" aluminum to bend over the top of that block of wood and go down to the floor on the front and back. Then through bolt 2 bolts on top of each other. Mount the motor mount to that with countersunk bolt heads under the top plate. Done
