Default exhaust mess on hull from pipes, what do you do?

What do you guys do about the exhaust dripping/mess on hull from over the transom pipes? water/mist dripping from headers down on paint/hull. My stearn looks aweful after the first run. cleans up at the end of the day - but wow. nasty. never had a boat make such a mess before. engine running fine - just messy!

Get your fuel right to where its not black sutt coming out and put water orfice restrictors in the water manifolds so you only get steam out of the headers.

It certainly does sound like it's to rich resulting in black messy exhaust.
