I got a warning not a ticket and since it rained for 30 hours on friday and was like being on havasu sat and sun i didnt get to run it till monday morning, it was way more packed than than usual and i was gonna call you Danny but i never got to run it till mon morning, anyway the jetting helped a bunch but it still seems to be lean so i am going up in a couple weeks with some bigger jets again and a new set of plugs and i need to cut the verticle linkage peace for the throttle. The way it is setup right now im only getting 2/3 throttle and with the lean condition im only getting 2/3 throttle of that. With the linkage the way it is and the small issues its still seems to run pretty good it will pull 6000 rpm at about half throttle but i didnt have a gps so i dont have any numbers the first weekend it ran 63 at about 4800 rpm so thats how much the jetting helped and i had a couple of burned plug wires. The first weekend my diverter was broken and was all the way down so i was just plowing water and it ran 63 so this last weeked i had the nozzle 3 notches up on the diverter and it started packing air pretty good and the damn thing kept pulling even with the way it was running.Bobby was up on the piont watching and said he thought it looked like it was running about 75 mph but just looking i dont know how accurate he was, its got a b/c impellar and at 6000 i just dont know.
Sounds like your gettin it. The rain kinda sucked but we just kicked it at the trailers and partied all day and night. sat & sunday there werent many people on the water at all in fact the campground was pretty empty up where we were. We talked about running down and launching with you guys and rolling up to goose flats but didnt want to get hassled by the law.
I really dont think they would have hassled me if i werent he only one down there with something that loud but whatever, there are never usually cops down there except for the big weekends, i am going out in 3 weeks if you guys are going out i might drag my shitpile up do some tuning up at your place i really want it running good for the 4th for aha, not to race but just so runs like it looks atleast. I put 92's in the primaries and 93's in the secondaries and i am going to bump it up to 97's on the secondaries and if i dont see it on the rich side im gonna start looking somewhere else for the problem but it think with new plugs a couple new wires and more fuel it will com around. Ive got the timing at 29 locked out but it just falls on its face when it feels like the seconadaries start opening and at 6000 rpm i only saw 1-2#'s of boost so i know ounce i get it figured out it should run decent.
I dont know when we are headed back out but i will keep ya posted. I have to finish 1 more motor then im pulling mine out and freshening it up so we may not be back till the 4th with the hot rods but i still have the wacker. Are the power valves still in those carbs that your running?
