Default shallow VS deep entry (NO PORNO)

my current rig is a 1972 regatta semi V. i have an option to purchase a rogers bubble hull semi V. the hull looks like a nice piece and is fairly in tact minus rigging and motor. it is a full stringer boat which i was considering doing to mine. there were a few issues with this boat when it was on the water. it had a very bad "porpoising" issue and i didnt understand what that term meant until i rode on this boat. guy told me it was because one of the bushings on the nozzle pin was broken. there was a small bit of play but i didnt think it could make the boat ride like this. after inspection of the boat there is a piece of the keel sticking below the line of the intake, where a ride plate would be. i have a hunch this is playing a huge roll in the behavior of this boat.

also i was told my set up isnt best for speed with the deep front entry as the front will quickly end up at the back in hard turns at speed. is this rogers a better design? few pics of what im referring to.

its a friends old hull so im storing it for a while until it sells. well side by side with my boat it looks like it wants to stay in my yard more than my current one, but it cant if there will not be an advantage for me either speed or ride wise.

Rogers are good hulls and very desirable. It looks like that intake needs reset and would ride much better . Plus if it's full stringer it's 1 up on your other one . If it was my money I'd pour it into the Rogers and sell the other one.

the rogers was kinda my thought as well. it just came up as available so until now i was happy with what i had. the reset, would that require cutting some glass out the back or just move it down. if its glass cutting i think that would be an ideal time for a set back
