Challenger may not have been a big enough player to find there way into the books or it may be too old , post up boat info and where you live , the folks here will help apply value for you

    Okay its a 1973 challenger

The gel coat has stress cracks so it does need to be redone

The hull is in good shape no dings but could be repainted

The motor is a 454 bored .30 over stroked to a 489. Forged probe domed pistons. Aluminum 6155 edelbrock rpm performer heads, hbeam rods, forged crank, crane gold roller rockers, roller timing chain, huge comp cam solid flat tappet, high volume oil pump, electric fpumpmsd ignition, 10.5 to 1compression, tunnel ram, hp Holley 1000. Aluminum air scoop, Bassett twistie headers, steel beaded water lines, everything is polished or chrome, motor is painted to match color of boat, pluss much more just can't think of everything.

Dual batteries, upgraded electrical wires on everything.

Pump is a Jacuzzi with the energizer kit, drop snoot, manual place diverter, wedge, ride plate & shoe set at 4 degrees, b impellar

Pump was done by gs marine and they tuned motor so everything matches.

Motor is turning 5700 rpm. The motor has been tuned down to run on 91 octane but cam be changed to run on racing fuel.

Please let me know what u think its worth. I have pictures of it in my gallery. Thanks

    Default J J Custom...????

I have a "J J Custom" titled jetboat that I believe is a Challenger splash, or at least splashed from whatever the Challengers were splashed from.... Anyone ever heard of "J J Custom" boat company out of Florida???. It's also a 73 and has all the lines, as well as matching interior, of a Challenger....BTW, it has a Mopar punched out 383 big block in it now..... Handles very similar to a Challenger I drove back in the early 80s....(as I recall, that trip was kind of a blur...)

PS You have a very nice boat, be careful though, I believe your engine will far exceed "recommended" HP for that hull....

Very nice boat. If the interior is nice and the motor runs good. I am thinking in the $6500 to what ever someones willing to spend. Right now boats are not worth as much as we think they are. And never will be.

Never herd of too much power. Personally I think I don't have enough. Going to be up grading the motor in the off-season and getting the gel coat redone along with the hull . Too much hp bullshit. Drive fast take chances. This ain't no family boat.biatches.

Sadly, those that were aware they had "overpowered" the hull, aren't around to talk about it.... It is possible they never knew there were HP limits until it was too late... Check just about any compliance tag and you'll see a "max recommended weight" as well as a "MAX recommended horsepower"..... These jetboats aren't built like tanks, nor are they designed to run above a certain speed safely..... A boat that handles great at 70 MPH may handle like shit at 76 MPH, and catching a wave, or wake, a little wrong may lead to tragedy... All the driving experience and ability is of little use when the hull is falling apart under you.....
